Hegel; Mechanism, Chemism, and Teleology in Relation to Semiotics Thought
At one point I was thinking about connecting Hegel's Mechanism Chemism Teleology development in the Science of Logic to expressions in semiotics.
During my Lacan class last quarter when we learned a little about Saussere I was sort of thinking kinda back to Science of Logic and made this maybe tenuous connection:
Mechanism - The individual signifiers and signified before their meaning in a whole expression.
Chemism - The differential network of what signifiers and signified mean in the expression in relation to a system of meanings and conventions in relation to each other
Teleology - The whole expression itself as an intended specific meaning as a universality pulsating through the whole series of signs and meanings isolated from each other for a goal of a single overarching meaning.
